USAGE OF THE MILK AND HOW TO
REDUCE ITS PRICE
Cow and buffalo milk is very useful
and nutrition drink worldwide and Indian is not an exception. In India every mother provides at least one
cup of milk to its children daily.
It is very important to have a cup of
milk by a pregnant woman to get good proteins and calcium to her as well as to
baby to be born.
The Milk is having the following
Caloric Ratio:
Proteins- 17%
Carbohydrates- 21%
Fats - 62%
India is the largest producer of
Buffalo Milk with 6.60 crore metric tons in 2012 and second largest producer of
Cow Milk with 5.40 crore metric tons in 2012 after United State with 90.87
crore metric tons.
So much milk, butter is wasted in the
name of Abhishekas to deities in the temples while millions go without
food. Approximately 40% of milk and 15
to 20 % of butter produced in India is pouring in temples and snake holes
annually. If we curtail this, the supply towards consumption increases
automatically by this 40% and thus prices of milk will come down.
Now a days a litre of milk costs
around INR 40/- to INR.60/- and by curtailing this type of abhishekas to the deities
in the temples, we may expect the price of milk with in the range of INR
Rs.25/- to INR 30/- which is more affordable to the low and medium income group.

Snakes never drink milk. If the snake is starving, then it may drink but after 2 to 3 days that snake will die. Please refer the article named 'A SESSION WITH SNAKES" in THE HINDU daily, Hyderabad Edition, 5th Para states as follows:

He explained further, “on that day even if a snake is offered fruit juice it would drink.” On a serious note he stated, “No, snakes do not drink milk. Snake charmers starve captured snakes after breaking their fangs and stitching them up. Naturally after remaining hungry for so long, snakes do drink up the milk that’s offered to them. However, the milk is convulsed later. This is a trick used by snake charmers to make money and fool devotees,” Parthasarathy clarified.""

CHENNAI: In a state known for doing milk abhishekams for idols
at temples, actors and
politicians, the Madras high court has said those offering milk poojas should
spare a moment for the plight of millions of people and children who go without
food, milk and shelter.
A division bench of Justice R Sudhakar and Justice V M Velumani, passing orders on a PIL seeking permission for holding the milk abhishekam festival at a Trichy temple said: "This court is of the view that in many parts of our country, people are suffering without proper food, shelter and even without milk for young children."
Emphasizing the need to use food items like milk judiciously, Justice Sudhakar, who wrote the judgment for the bench, said: "The petitioner and other villagers should be aware that such an essential commodity should be used for the benefit of children, poor orphans, widows and destitute besides offering to the deities."

Hence, please avoid the usage of valuable
milk in the name of Abhishekas and urge the people not take the milk from the
mouth of millions of people and children. So that more milk is available to our children and
more people in India will get the milk at lesser cost.
